Privacy policy

This is a translation. In case of doubt, the Spanish version prevails.

Summary

Luan Patterns runs in your browser. Your images are not sent to any server: they're processed on your device and the patterns you save stay there. We don't ask for accounts and we don't use analytics, advertising or third-party services.

Data controller

Ariana Mora, domiciled in Colombia. Email: arimoweb@gmail.com. This is also the channel for questions and complaints about personal data.

Legal framework

This policy follows Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 (personal data protection) and Decree 1377 of 2013, compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015. If you use the app from another country, your country's privacy laws also protect you (for example, the General Data Protection Regulation in the European Union).

What data is processed and where

  • The images you choose, drag or paste are read and turned into a pattern inside your browser. They're not uploaded to the internet and we don't keep them: they're gone when you close the page.
  • The patterns you save (name, chart, threads and chosen fabric) are stored in your browser's local database (IndexedDB), only on this device. We don't receive them and can't see them. The original image isn't saved.
  • The language you choose is remembered in your browser's local storage (localStorage), only to show you the website in that language next time. It isn't a cookie and it never leaves your device.
  • If you write to us through the contact form, we receive the subject, the description, the website language and your email only if you leave it (it's optional: you can write anonymously). We only use it to reply to you and improve the app, we don't share it with anyone and you can ask us to delete it.
  • When you visit the website, your browser downloads its files (pages, images and the thread table). The hosting provider may log technical data about those downloads, such as IP address, date and browser, for a limited time and only so the website works and stays secure.

Purpose and consent

Data is used only so you can use the tool. What's saved on your device is saved by you when you press “Save”, and you control it. Technical connection data is processed by the hosting provider to deliver and protect the service. It isn't used for profiling or advertising, and it isn't sold.

Hosting provider and international transfer

The website is hosted on Cloudflare, and messages from the contact form reach us by email through Resend. Both are providers with servers outside Colombia (for example, in the United States) and act as processors: Cloudflare receives the technical connection data to deliver the website, and both receive contact messages only to deliver them to us. By using the website, you accept that transfer, which is necessary for it to work.

Your rights

As the owner of your personal data you have the right to:

  • Access, update and correct your data.
  • Know what it's used for.
  • Withdraw your consent and ask for it to be deleted, when there's no legal duty to keep it.
  • Access it free of charge.
  • File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), Colombia's data protection authority, or with the authority in your country.

You can delete your patterns at any time from My patterns, or all at once by clearing this site's data in your browser.

How to make a request or complaint

Write to arimoweb@gmail.com with your name, what you want to ask or claim and how to reply to you.

  • Requests: answered within 10 business days of receipt, extendable by 5 more business days if we tell you why.
  • Complaints (correcting, updating or deleting data): answered within 15 business days, extendable by 8 more business days if we tell you why. If information is missing, we'll ask for it within 5 days of receiving the complaint.

Minors

The website doesn't collect personal data, including from minors. If a minor uses it, we recommend doing so with an adult.

Effective date and changes

This policy is effective from October 10, 2026. If we add features that process more data in the future (for example, user accounts or payments), we'll update it before enabling them, announce it on the website and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
